Wedding Fashion Editorial Photography on location

We are super excited that one of our images were chosen for the front cover of Complete Wedding Melbourne (Universal Magazines). The location for the photo shoot was at Labassa a heritage property with opulent 19th century interiors in Caulfield North.

The Profoto B1

For this cover photo shoot we got the chance to try out the new Profoto B1 battery powered flash head. It’s a great tool for all photographers. 500watts of power, 9 stops range and very fast flash duration.

The 2 things that I don’t like about the Profoto B1 compared to our usual battery kits – Profoto Pro-B2 and Elinchrom Ranger is that it’s only 500ws compared to the 1200ws and 1100ws of the Pro-B2 and Ranger. It’s a lot more portable than the battery kits with generator/pack but the heavy packs have been useful on location as it doubles as a sandbag.
