To create effective content images, our studio employ various techniques. First, focus on lighting. Proper lighting is crucial for capturing the details and colors of the product accurately. Whether it's natural light or artificial lighting setups, we ensure that the lighting enhances the product's visual appeal without distorting its true appearance.

Composition is another vital aspect of content image creation. Carefully arranged, the product and its surrounding elements to create an aesthetically pleasing composition. Considerd factors such as product placement, background selection, and props, all aimed at creating a visually compelling image that aligns with the brand's aesthetic.

Additionally, post-processing plays a significant role in content image creation. While we try and get it right in camera with minimal retouching, adjusting colours and removing blemishes is required. However, it's crucial to strike a balance and avoid over-editing, as customers expect the product to look as close to reality as possible.

Another strategy for content image creation is incorporating lifestyle and context. While product-only images are essential, contextual images that showcase the product in use or in a relatable setting can greatly enhance its appeal. Lifestyle images help customers envision themselves using the product, leading to a higher likelihood of purchase.

Content image creation for e-commerce photography is a critical element in driving online sales. By investing in high-quality images that showcase products accurately and creatively, businesses can attract customers, increase their engagement, and ultimately boost conversions. Through techniques such as proper lighting, composition, post-processing, and storytelling, e-commerce photographers can create compelling visuals that leave a lasting impact on customers, setting the brand apart in the competitive e-commerce landscape.

Corporate Portraiture for Melbourne Based Business Information Tech. Specialist

Staff Portraits for Melbourne based IT Specialist Skillfield in their CBD office.

The importance of good portrait photography for Corporate and Business

Portrait photography  is a crucial element of any business, not just about taking a picture. It is about capturing the personality of the person in front of the camera. The photographer needs to be able to understand what makes that person tick, what their quirks are, and how they want to be seen.

We all have an idea of what we want our portrait to look like- whether it’s for a family reunion or for your company’s website- but it can be difficult to find a professional that understands your vision and can deliver on it. This is where we come in.

When Skillfield, a Melbourne based Big data and cyber security firm approached us they wanted images that helped promote their business and staff as they understood that in this day and age, the portraits of a company’s employees are often the first impression that is given to the customer.

With only a short time allocated for photography, Ivan and Lighting Assistant/ Digital Operator Jonathan arrived before the staff started work to set up lighting and be ready to start. We created a set up for a grey background, white background and group portrait in the foyer. A variety of images gave them options for social media, website and promotional material.

On the day of photography, we were given a short amount of time in between meetings to have everyone photographed for an individual portraits and then the group portrait. Set up and being prepared before everyone turned up was required. Set up one was with two lights and modifiers against a white paper roll. The second set up was in the library room which was only approx. 2.5 metres wide.

We had pre planned the layout before the shoot to make sure we knew everyone had enough room in the final crop. With the room being too small to fit everyone we decided to shoot it in sections to merge in digitally afterwards.
