In November I was asked by Make-up Artist Nathalie to photograph her entry to the bodyography make-up competition. The look we were trying to achieve was an androgynous look to Laura Jane. Sadly, it didn’t make it into the finals this time but I think we got a few awesome photos.

Studio Lighting:
With the photography we wanted to capture it with minimal digital re-touching afterwards.
The beauty dish with a honey comb grid was used close to the talent which produces a light that falls off around the face.
The Westcott Parabolic umbrella is used as a fill light and to create a high light in the eyes. Image is at 100%

Camera & Settings: Hasselblad H2D / 50-110 f11 1/250th
Lighting: Elinchrom Digital RX2400, Elinchrom 202, FlashPro 500 monoblocs, Westcott silver Parabolic umbrella
Apple Quad Core MacBook Pro 15inch Phocus 2.6.4 for tethered photography and RAW conversion.
