The weather got really bad and a group hug was required.

This is the first time I’ve done any Fashion photography in Adelaide and Adelaide didn’t welcome us with great weather- it was windy, cold and raining. We arrived to the location before 7am to start hair and make-up, principle photography took  about 2.5hrs and wrapped up by midday.

Waiting for the rain to past

I really wanted to use the Westcott Parabolic umbrella even though I knew it would be difficult to keep up with the strong winds. We gave it a go with one shot and it nearly blew Kate the assistant over.

The Westcott Parabolic umbrella held up even with the wind and rain

The equipment ended up being covered in sand and drenched with rain. I was happy the Broncolor mobil flash kit survived the photo shoot even though the flash heads still have sand trapped inside them.
