Water Death- Work in Progress

Screen capture 1

An A3 size document is created first then black is filled in it. The image of the human skull is changed to an overlay (located at the top left side on the layers palette in the drop down panel).

Screen Capture 2

What the overlay does is only show the brush effect through the whites of the overlay.

Screen Capture 3

Under the overlay  ’layer 1′ (skull) more layers of water are created.

Screen Capture 4

To help define the edge of the skull, over ‘layer 1′, more splash effects are created. To curve the brush strokes individual brush strokes are are warped using the free transform tool.

Screen Capture 5 - complete image with all layers

Final splashes are added around the top of the skull.

Putting together an image in Adobe Photoshop built completely from a water brush filter found on Design Reflexion. we’ve always been a fan of computer generated (CG) graphics with photography and the idea of using it in advertising photography  and architecture photography sounds really appealing. A lot of current car advertising uses CG cars that are still production and haven’t been made yet; it also makes it easier for the photographer not to worry too much about reflections on cars.

To use brushes:

-Download the water splashes Zip file & Unzip

-open up Adobe Photoshop Load the .abr file in the brush presets
